Review: The Secret Love Parade

It’s hard to fall in love quickly. I mean normally a period of “getting to know you” time is mandatory. You know, that time where you figure out the things you don’t like – and then pretend they aren’t there. The Secret Love Parade don’t allow one this time – they quickly assert themselves with a beautiful synth infused sound that pulls at every cynical fibre of your being, taking you on a journey of love, politics and football?!  I don’t know if it was the couches in front of the stage, the cheap Heineken, or just the beautiful harmonies combined with soft beats and unmistakable pop – but TSLP was the perfect escape from the traffic, chaos and craziness of the working week.
